It’s been a while since the last post, since I’m doing summer online course, and visiting some other cities in Indonesia. Finally, this will be my last post about Japan, and probably we will move on to other new cities. And since I am living in Sydney, I will also give some review about some spots in Sydney.

I don’t review all the food that I eat, honestly speaking I like most of the food in Japan, the following reviews, usually because they have such unique experience and vibes. So here we go.

Ichiran Ramen

Let me begin with, Ichiran Ramen. This ramen is quite famous, and they have several spots, not only in Tokyo, but also in Osaka, I ate twice in Tokyo and Osaka. This restaurant is quite unique, once you arrived, you will pay your order in the ‘vending machine’ which will generate coupons for you. Then, once you have sit, the waiter will bring you form, and you have to choose the taste, the mildness, the oil, also the spicy level. Then you will give it back, and the waiter work behind the wall, as you see in the picture, you can only see their hands. For me, this is quite nice and delicious. You should try, in some store, there was quite long queue, but when I was in Osaka, the waitress direct me to go to another less busier store, which was not far from the previous store. To know where is the location, you can just simply google-map it, quite simple.

Ikinari Steak

Another restaurant that was quite unique for me is Ikinari Steak. They sell their steak based on the weight of the meat, and you can choose how many grams do you want. This restaurant is quite famous too, there were quite long queue in the busy times. Overall taste was good, and I ate this in Osaka, and I just realized there is also another store in Tokyo. Worth a try when you are around!

Jinoya

Jinoya is quite famous and unique too. I ate this in Osaka, so they cook everything right in front of you. They serves Japanese Authentic Cuisine such as okonomiyaki, yakisoba or fried noodle, and others. It taste okay, quite nice, but  as they cook it right in front of you make it feels unique. You should try when you are in Osaka, there were quite long queue as well when I visited there.

Besides, some lunch or dinner restaurant that I give, there are also some snacks that you have to try, it’s a must!

Muji

In Japan, Muji stores sell many kind of cookies and snacks, they even distribute it through Family Mart as well. If you see in the picture, the snacks that look like ball colored pink and white, taste very good! I really like it, and won’t regret it!

Beard Papa’s

I believe Beard Papa’s is internationally-known, and trust me this one also tastes very good. You have to try this, if you haven’t!

Kin No Tori Kara

Kin No Tori Kara means (something) related to made from golden chicken. This taste quite nice, they sell such fritters, chicken and fries. The unique side is that they provide many kind of sauces from sweet to salt. There are some outlets around the city, you can try if you want!

Calbee+

This one also a must try snacks! So this located in Osaka, in the market, but there are also some in Tokyo, just google it. They sell not only fresh chips, but also some calbee chips that I believed not sold in the supermarket.

Pablo

Last but not least, a very popular lately in Indonesia, is Pablo Cheese Tart. I prefer the mini one, I don’t like the big size one, because it doesn’t have the crispy taste. I forgot to take a picture, because it was taste too good!

So! That’s all for the food review. I did eat some more authentic Japanese food like kobe beef, sukiyaki, and stuffs, but I don’t think I like to review it, since I did not eat it in the unique yet delicious restaurant. So this all the unique food (for me) that I tried in Japan. Most of the snacks are very nice, you should (must) try it!
