I spent about 5 nights in Tokyo, I had so much fun with my family. Honestly speaking, I don’t think 5 nights will be enough to explore this metropolitan city, but probably that will be enough for you to explore the city center of Tokyo.

One of the easiest way to explore Tokyo is going with a one-day tour. There are some tour providers who provide tour to go around Tokyo and most of them guided by English-speaking guide. To be honest, I don’t think all of the tour spot will be worth to visit, but I will just try to include all of the spots, so you can decide by yourself. First of all, this tour begin at Hamamatsucho Bus Station, it begins at 9 in the morning. After everyone is ready, we head to Meiji Jingu Shrine, the Shrine was quite big.

So, I think in all shrines, they have the place for water, the wooden board, and there is a place for throw coins. I didn’t take the picture of the place for throwing coins, as it wasn’t allowed, because it considered as a sacred place. The water pond is a place to clean yourself, you can wash your hand and mouth. Besides, the wooden board is a place to make a wish, but it was a symbol of horse, because in the past, the Japanese who believes in Shinto, usually wish something and use horse as a prey (if I’m not mistaken), but since horse is getting more expensive, they change it with wooden board with horse picture on it. Finally, there is a ritual to make a wish, bow two times, throw your coin, clap two times, and make a wish, and finish with another bow.

Moving on, after visiting the shrine, we move to visit the Imperial Palace.

There was nothing much to see at the time. And after visiting the Imperial Palace, this was the place where the emperor lives, if I’m not mistaken.

Finally, we head to something more interesting, Asakusa and Nakamise Shopping Street. These was very nice, you can shop and try kind of street food of Japan.

There is also Shrine in Asakusa, as I told you before, in this Shrine, there is also a place to throw coin and make a wish as you can see in the photo, and Japanese usually use JPY5 to make a wish, because this show eternality if I’m not mistaken. In this shrine, there is also a place to take a breath of the smoke, I forgot what that means lol.

So above are the highlight about the crowd in Asakusa, probably for those who are looking for souvenirs and stuffs, Asakusa will be a great place, I don’t think 1 hour enough for you (and your mom especially).

After going to Asakusa, I had a buffet lunch, the lunch was nice. Right after that, we head to Tokyo Bay Cruise, and we hop on to the cruise and we are not moving from one point to another, we just simply going from one point, and going back to the same point.

Hopping off from the cruise, and we directly brought by the Tour Leader to the Odaiba. In Odaiba, there are a replica of Statue of Liberty, and a Gundam, but if I’m not mistaken the Gundam wil be destroyed by March 2017, for several reasons.

After visiting these 2 statues, we drive across the Rainbow Bridge, and ended our trip at the Japanese Tourist Information Center to see the traditional Japanese Dance, which is actually wasn’t the real dance, well it was real, but it was not that real (lol). It just a woman dance, I thought it was a big group of women dancing.

Finally, that’s all what you will see if you join the One Day Tokyo Panoramic Tour. The most interesting part for me is Asakusa. That’s all (lol). So, I guess, you can see and decide by yourself, whether you will join this tour or not, or you will just going to particular spots by yourself. This tour costs about JPY 9,900 for adult.
